In 2002, a group of Humanities students at the Lebanese University began organizing discussion groups, film nights, book clubs, and sporting events. In 2003, Nahnoo was born. For the next three years Nahnoo expanded their activities to several faculties across Lebanese University campuses. In 2005, the members of Nahnoo turned to advocacy. Nahnoo joined a coalition of 500 people to demand a non-violent solution to Lebanon’s political crisis. In 2009, Nahnoo was officially registered as a civic organization and focused its programs and activities on advocacy, empowering youth and culture exchange.
